Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal data Maqamly collects, why, who we share it with, and the rights you have over it. We keep it plain and honest — if anything here is unclear, email us and we will explain.
1. Who we are
Maqamly (“Maqamly”, “we”, “us”) is a web application that measures a local business’s visibility on Google Maps and Google Business Profile and recommends actions to improve it. The service is operated by Dmitriy Kotov, an individual sole operator based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

2. Scope
This policy covers the Maqamly website (maqamly.com), the visibility quiz, the paid audit, and the Maqamly application you log into after purchase. Payment processing is handled by our reseller, Paddle — see section 5.
3. What we collect
We collect only what we need to run the service:
- Identity & contact: your email address (captured at the quiz reveal and at checkout), and any name you give us.
- Your business details: the business name, your Google Maps / Google Business Profile listing (its Google Place identifier), the business location (approximate latitude/longitude and area), and the category/niche you select.
- Quiz responses: the answers and the resulting visibility score.
- Scan results: the public ranking, map, and profile data we generate when we scan your listing, and the recommendations produced from it.
- Account & sign-in data: your password (stored only as a secure, salted hash — we never see it in plain text) and/or one-time sign-in link tokens, plus session data used to keep you logged in.
- Usage & technical data: basic logs (IP address, device/browser, pages viewed, timestamps) needed to operate, secure, and debug the service.
We do not require access to your Google account to run the paid audit — it is based on public search data. We do not knowingly collect special-category personal data, and we ask you not to send us any.

We process personal data in line with the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021). Where you are in a jurisdiction with additional data-protection rights (for example the EU/UK), we honour those rights too.
5. Payments
Our payments are processed by Paddle (Paddle.com Market Ltd), who act as the merchant of record (the reseller) for every Maqamly purchase. When you pay, your card and billing details are collected and processed by Paddle, not by us — we receive only confirmation of the transaction and limited order data (such as your email and the product purchased). Paddle’s handling of your payment data is governed by Paddle’s Privacy Policy.
6. Service providers we share data with
We use a small set of trusted processors to deliver the service. We share only the data each one needs, and only for that purpose:

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for third-party advertising.
7. International transfers
Some of these providers process data outside the United Arab Emirates (for example in the EU or the United States). Where data leaves the UAE, we rely on the provider’s contractual safeguards and recognised transfer mechanisms to keep it protected to a comparable standard.
8. How long we keep it
We keep your account, business, and scan data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards so you can return. We keep billing records for as long as tax and accounting law requires. When you ask us to delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal data, except where we must retain it for legal reasons.
9. Your rights
You can ask us to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- correct it if it is wrong;
- delete it;
- restrict or object to certain processing;
- receive a copy in a portable format;
- withdraw consent (for example to marketing) at any time.
Email info@maqamly.com and we will respond within a reasonable time. You also have the right to complain to the UAE data-protection authority (or your local authority).
10. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data — encrypted connections, access controls, and short-lived, single-use sign-in links. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your data safe and to notify you if a breach materially affects you.
11. Cookies
We use essential cookies that are required to log you in and keep your session secure. If we add analytics, we will name the provider here and, where required, ask for your consent first. We do not use cookies to sell your data.
12. Children
Maqamly is a tool for businesses and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
13. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top and, for material changes, notify you by email or in the app.
